Ordering Products
So what IS our process?
First, make sure to take our Quiz! This will help catch us up to speed on your Curl Journey so far, so that we can best know how to help your curls reach their potential.
Our Curl Coaches will review your Quiz entry and use your responses to recommend products and routines that will boost your curls and your confidence.
While you can order individual products, we highly recommend opting for one of our Custom Curl Kits. Each kit can include 3, 4, or 5 products, ranging from shampoos and conditioners to leave-ins, gels, mousses, creams, and oils. You can subscribe for a monthly kit to try new products, find your favorites, and get coaching along the way. If you prefer, you can order a kit as a one-time purchase or at your own frequency—both options are great!
Finding the right products and routine for curly hair often involves a frustrating "trial and error" process. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Our system is designed to guide you through trying various reputable products and routines with expert help along the way, ensuring that every day can be a great hair day full of defined curls.
Entering your product order is simple! Our Coaches will provide personalized recommendations for products suited to your unique hair needs, and you can fill out your kit accordingly. If you'd prefer to do your own research, feel free to explore the brands we carry, listed at the bottom of our About page.
​When filling out an order for a "Curl Essentials Kit" (which includes Shampoo, Conditioner, and a Styler), simply select your recommended products from the dropdown menus. For example, if you were advised to try AG Care for Shampoo, Gibs for Conditioner, and Matrix Gel as your Styler, you would choose "AG Care" from the Shampoo dropdown, "Gibs" from the Conditioner dropdown, and "Gel" for the Styler Type, then select "Matrix" as the Styler Brand. If you want to explore a different Styler type, you can easily choose an alternative instead of Gel.
In the "Specifications and Substitutions" you can specify exact products within brands, or substitute products with others. You may also specify preferences or allergies.
After taking submitting your Quiz entry, mark this section "Complete"
Lastly, you can mark either the "Base Subscription" option or for ordering at your own pace or trying a box for your first time, select the "One-time Purchase" option.
Checking in
After your Custom Kit is delivered, your Curl Coach will check in periodically to see how the products and routines are working with your hair. If you're subscribed to monthly kits, your coach will recommend new products and routines for the next month, based on your progress. The ultimate goal is to help you find the perfect products and routine that will give your curls the definition they’re destined for.
